Pulse Medical

Pulse Medical Technologies design and manufacture medical devices for pain relief and wound healing using the therapeutic and healing properties of Pulse Electro-magnetic Field Therapy (PEMF). The company, which is based in the Institute of Life Sciences in Swansea University, approached Picmo to help on a project named Amethyst, or Ambulatory Magneto-Enhancement of Transdermal High Yield Silver Therapy. Made up of three extremely thin and reusable layers, we produced a technical animation of the effects of the product when applied to a deep skin wound. Key to the development of this medical visualisation was the pre-production phase where we produced iterative illustrations and storyboards based on the client's input.
