Heno

Heno styleframes

We pitched several styleframes for the S4/C show Heno, which airs daily at 7pm throughout Wales. The weekday magazine series, which broadcasts live from Tinopolis studios in and on location, focuses on interesting stories about the nation's people and their communities.

The design shown above was our personal favourite, which featured glass shards of the Heno logo coming together to form the finished titles. Unfortunately it was decided that look was a bit too 'The One Show', the BBC flagship talk show and it wasn't chosen. Fortunately though, one of our other designs got the go-ahead!

WorldPay Animal People

WorldPay People Adventure

We recently created a series of 3D characters as part of a marketing campaign for WorldPay, who provide a global payment processing service for all sorts of businesses, big and small. Chances are if you order things over the Internet, then you've done so via WorldPay at some point or another.

The People Adventures campaign featured animals in the form of key career roles, including a bear as 'The Challenger', a cheetah as 'The Pacesetter' and an eagle as the 'The Visionary'. There are more characters to come, but in the meantime keep an eye out for the billboards - they're all over the UK at the moment!

Antura

Branding for S4/C show Antura

Here's the approved ID for Antura, a Welsh language childrens television series which will be broadcast on S4/C on Mondays. The series follows the adventures of eight youngsters who are left in the wilds of a secret forest in West Wales for five days and five nights.

Using wood, ropes and foliage as the primary design element and to tie in with the bushcraft theme of the show, the title will be used across all media including the opening sequence. Look closely and you'll see we even introduced some big cats, as the winner of the show will win a jungle trip to Borneo!

Powell

Storyboarding Powell

There's a great deal of pre-production that goes into any animation and it nearly always starts with a storyboard. Here's an example of a more refined sketch for the Powell animation we did, which quite faithfully represents the end product.

From this stage we produced a 3D animatic so we could work out the camera moves ahead of the greenscreen shot, and ultimately be confident on-set that everything would would work when it came to post-production. Check out the final animation here: Powell animation.

Lions app

British & Irish Lions app

As ever, the British & Irish Lions tour is a highly anticipated and prestigious sporting event. Powered by Microsoft, we worked with Sequence Agency to produce promotional motion graphics for the rugby tour, which features our four nation's best players in an event that only comes around every four years.

Being keen rugby fans ourselves, this was a real pleasure to be involved with. Available for Windows, iOS and Android, download the Lions app for your device(s) and be sure to follow the progress of the squad down under - all the latest news and stats as it happens!
